Monday Randomness

If you're reading this, Congratulations, that means you survived another weekend! If you're not reading this, you either aren't on this blog post, or you didn't survive the weekend, if the later is the case, my condolences to your family.

This is just a little randomness from me today, I really had nothing of a topic to write about, just a few little snippets and observations.
The other day my boss and I were doing a job and at lunch time decided to go to a local burger joint and grab a bite to eat. This isn't your normal burger joint, it's expensive, although the portions are decent. While we were waiting for our order, I was casually looking the place over and noticed a picture on their wall, and I had a thought about it.

Our Founder
It was a big picture of a steers head, and although it didn't say it, I was hoping it would have,  liked to have seen a caption underneath the pic that said, "Our Founder, may he rest in ...pieces, burgers, chili, etc.... He was our first, he will be missed, but man that S.O.B. was tasty!"
Their food was excellent, but as I said, very expensive, so I won't be going there often.

Everybody nowadays has cellphones, well almost everybody, I will admit, I don't, and have gotten along fine without one. I did have one briefly, which I lent to my son, and he apparently thought it was a gift, because I never got it back, thank goodness I was using it as a pay as you go...

Anyway, with so many accidents occurring from dumbasses that are texting while driving, you'd think cellphone service providers might do the opposite of what they are doing in order to help with cellphone related accidents.

I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but here in Canada it's cheaper to text than talk, so if they would reverse that, maybe there wouldn't be so many texting related deaths and injuries, although I will admit to calling it "natural selection,"or as a friend of my online says, Darwin wins again! Besides, talking is much easier than texting while driving, unless you fall into the category of can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

I can't believe that anything that important can come up while you are driving that  you feel the need to endanger yourself and others on the highway, if necessary, pull your dumbass off to the shoulder of the road!

Now before I go and leave you all alone for the day, I first wanted to thank all of you who do drop in from time to time. I check my stats daily and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in some of you. If you take the time to read, drop a comment, I'd love to hear from you, I'd love to hear your thoughts about what I wrote, and maybe, if you write as well, I can reciprocate by visiting your blog. We should all try and help each other here in the Blogosphere in cyberspace, it's no need for it to be a lonely place!
Have a GREAT WEEK!

  1. That would be one heck of a caption for the picture lol. I like it!
As you see I survived the weekend. Wish they didn't go so fast.
I think you're on to something. Make talking cheaper. Anymore you really gotta watch while driving. Don't know why people think they can text and drive.

  2. I have a cell phone, I hate it, but I do have one. It is no contract, pay by the month, but I get unlimited text, talk and data, so its a good deal. I HATE texting and I never text or talk for that matter when I am driving. I've never been in an accident either.
Hey, I will always come by and visit your blog long as you keep writing. Hope you have a good week Skipper. xo
